  • Acquisition (75%) of Forest National concert hall in Brussels

1998

  • GIMV exit through sale to the Allaert family
  • Geert Allaert abandons IPO due to the market crash
  • Mercator Assurances contributes 5 mio EUR obtaining 36% (shares and convertible loan)


1999

  • Acquisition of Capitole Gent
  • Renovation and management of Capitole Gent

  • Geert Allaert acquires the shares of Mercator Assurances

  • Management of Zuiderkroon in Antwerp

  • Acquisition of the remaining 25% of Forest National in Brussels
  • Separation of real estate and operations
  • Sportpaleis Groep takes on day-to-day management of Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen, Capitole Gent and Forest National in Brussels. Music Hall remains owner/concession holder of its respective venues.
