Cookie Policy
Last updated: Thu, Aug 13, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Music Hall uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. For the purposes of this policy, “cookies” also include technologies such as localStorage and pixels.
1. Who is responsible?
Music Hall Classics, Graaf van Vlaanderenplein 7, 9000 Ghent, is responsible for the cookies and tracking on musichall.be. If you have any questions about privacy or cookies, please email privacy@musichall.be.
2. What categories do we use?
Essential and Functional Storage
This data is necessary for the website to function properly or to remember a choice you have made. We do not ask for your consent for this.
- mh_cookie_consent — domain musichall.be, path /, cookie and localStorage. Stores whether you have consented to essential, analytical, and marketing cookies. Retention period: 180 days.
- mh_newsletter_exit_popup_dismissed — localStorage. Remembers that you have closed the newsletter pop-up so it doesn't appear every time. Remains until you clear your browser cache.
- mh_newsletter_subscribed — localStorage. Remembers that you subscribed using this browser, so the subscription pop-up won't appear again. Remains until you clear your browser's storage.
Analytical Techniques
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager to understand how the website is used. Among other things, we track page views, scrolls, outbound clicks, and interactions with shows, forms, and ticket buttons. In doing so, technical data such as browser type, device, referring page, and an approximate location may be processed.
- _ga and _ga_PP8VWD329J — domain .musichall.be, path /. Distinguish between browsers and sessions for Google Analytics. Maximum retention period: 2 years.
- Google Consent Mode v2 — Before or upon refusal, analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization are set to "denied." Google tags can then send cookie-less technical signals for aggregated measurement and modeling, but do not set any analytics or advertising cookies. Once consent is granted, the tag adapts to your choice.
Marketing and Conversion Techniques
With your marketing consent, we use Google Ads and Meta to measure campaigns, make ads more relevant, and model conversions. A click on “Buy tickets” is an outbound ticket click and does not constitute a confirmed purchase.
- _gcl_au and _gcl_ls — .musichall.be domain or localStorage. Google Ads uses these to track ad clicks and conversions. Typical maximum retention period: 90 days.
- test_cookie — domain .doubleclick.net. Checks whether the browser supports cookies. Usual duration: 15 minutes.
- _fbp — .musichall.be domain. Meta Pixel uses this for ad measurement and attribution. Typical retention period: 90 days.
- mh_marketing_profile — domain musichall.be, path /, cookie, and localStorage. Created only after marketing consent is given and a form is submitted. May contain name, email address, and phone number for matching and conversion tracking via Meta. Retention period: up to 180 days; if marketing consent is withdrawn, we will delete this profile from the browser.
3. Ticket Partners and Purchases
The purchase takes place on the ticket partner’s website. Ticketmaster and the Paylogic/Kursaal Oostende ticketing platform currently contain Music Hall tracking pixels from Google and/or Meta. As a result, events such as initiating an order, making a purchase, and the purchase amount can be tracked on our analytics platforms. A purchase can only be attributed to a previous ad or Music Hall website click if the browser, advertising ID, or cross-domain tracking makes that attribution technically possible.
Currently, no Music Hall Google or Meta pixel has been set up for Tickets Brugge/Ticketmatic and KMDA. For those sites, we at musichall.be only track outbound ticket clicks. We will adjust this policy if the technical setup at a ticketing partner changes.
In addition to cookies, ticket partners may provide us with sales data, such as name, email address, time of purchase, show, and amount. That processing and the associated retention periods are described in our privacy policy.
4. External Content
Pages may contain content from sources such as YouTube, Google Maps, or Spotify. This content will not load until you have allowed marketing cookies. The third-party provider may then use its own cookies and technologies in accordance with its own policies.
5. Recipients and Disclosures
Depending on your selection, data may be received by Google Ireland Limited, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, and the relevant ticketing partner. These parties may process data outside the European Economic Area. They state that they use appropriate safeguards for this purpose, such as European Commission decisions and standard contractual clauses. For more information, please refer to the privacy policy of the relevant provider.
6. Legal Basis
We use necessary and functional technologies because they are required for the requested service or based on our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and usable. We use analytical and marketing technologies based on your consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of previous processing.
7. Manage your preferences or delete cookies
You can enable or disable analytics and marketing consent separately at any time via “Cookie Preferences” in the footer. Withdrawing consent is just as easy as granting it. When marketing consent is withdrawn, we will delete the local Music Hall marketing profile. You can also clear third-party cookies through your browser’s privacy or cookie settings.
If you decline to use analytics or marketing technologies, the website will remain functional. Certain external content, such as videos or maps, will not load until you give your consent.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction, or transfer of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing activities. To do so, please email privacy@musichall.be. You may also file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, via gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
9. Changes
We update this policy whenever our website, tracking platforms, or ticket partner integrations change. Version 2.0 — August 13, 2026.
